Creating A Custom Closet

By: Closet World

This is the season I like best of all. That's not only because of the red, and orange, and yellow of the falling autumn leaves or the mouth-watering, spicy aroma of fresh pumpkin pies or even because I'm thinking about the wonderful holidays which are coming up very soon. I also adore putting away all my summery clothing and unpacking all my cozy, wooly sweaters, coats and slacks.

The only negative is the fact that I seem to have less clothing to store away than I did last year, and I bring less items out of their summer storage, which makes me overcompensate for that which I am missing. This is when I tend to head out to local shops and return home with many bags of clothing that I have picked up.

Returning with these items I am forced to realize that my closet was already overly full of clothing. What is my solution to this annual dilemma? Head back out to the store and look for organizing solutions that will allow me to keep the old clothes that I like as well as fit my new clothing.

Anywhere that you can get cheap supplies is a good place to get closet organization materials. These materials are great for building a custom organizing solution. Everyone agrees that it is better to customize your closet organization rather than use a standard solution. For example, everyone has a different wardrobe. I absolutely adore flip flops and have tons of them, but my friends don't have many and so don't need as much shoe organization.

I prefer to customize my clothing space through removable and exchangeable pieces. Some of the best places to customize your space with removable, exchangeable, multi-functional and pieces that are also able to be rearranged are Ikea, Home Depot (or your local hardware/shelving/etc... store), or places like Kmart and Walmart. Many of these places have already-assembled pieces that are good for those looking for a "custom" look without all of the hassle of picking out your own pieces. However, these types of stores also offer products that you can pick and choose to assemble together to fit your needs!

If you would like to customize your messy, disorganized closets, but you don't want to do the actual shopping or work yourself, you can take a closer look online at some of the custom installation sites. By performing a simple search you can find examples of what there is out there. In most cases, these customizations are permanent, and you will have no options for reorganizing or reconfiguring at a later date.

You can go to a department store where you can get a consultation, and some even offer in home consultations. Once you have more space you can shop till you drop and you'll have all the conveniences of an organized closet.

Only this time it is to find a solution to the problem of a disorganized and overstuffed closet so that I am not forced to part with my old wardrobe to make way for the new.Good places to find components to customize your space with interchangeable, removable multi-function parts are in stores such as Ikea, Kmart and Walmart or Home Depot (or even your local hardware store). Most of these stores have pre-assembled pieces which will give you that certain custom look without having to choose the items yourself.
